Guided Tour through the city

The eventful guided tour (10 people and over) through the historic old "royal free city" of Rust explains the town's architectural developments from its beginnings as a fishing village to its becoming a town. The significance of the status of "free city" in former times and nowadays is also explained. Art aficionados are also offered a great deal of interesting background information during the tour of art-historical treasures such as the "Seehof", Gruber House and the three churches in the town.

The Kremayrhaus was donated to the city of Rust in 1986 by cultural patron Rudolf Kremayr. The elaborately and lovingly restored town house combines history and art in a unique way. The museum presents works of art, antiques and important pieces from the city archives.

Night watchman - tour


During an evening torch and adventure walk with the night watchman through the romantic and illuminated streets of the historic old town of Rust, you will learn interesting facts about the city and the tasks of the night watchman.Discover the peculiarities and mystery of the night city. The old squares and houses tell us their exciting stories.
